I am writing to ask everybody in Bournemouth to come together between 7-13 June to take part in Magic Breakfast’s Great Big Breakfast to raise funds for hungry children.

In its inaugural year, the Great Big Breakfast will see people all over the UK joining together to enjoy a breakfast with friends, family, colleagues, or by themselves, and donating to help put a stop to child morning hunger.

We know that even before the pandemic child hunger was at an all-time high, with 11,061 children (16% of children) in Bournemouth, Christchurch and Poole at risk of hunger in 2020.

Magic Breakfast provides healthy breakfasts to around 140 schoolchildren in Bournemouth ensuring they have the energy and nutrition they need to make the most of their morning lessons.

To take part in the Great Big Breakfast, all you need to do is sign up, save the date, invite your friends, family or colleagues, have a breakfast together and donate £2 each – which is enough for Magic Breakfast to provide a week’s worth of school breakfasts to a hungry child, so they have the fuel to succeed in and out of the classroom.

Everyone can get involved and you don’t need to do anything special. You could make dippy eggs and soldiers for the family, have a bowl of cereal in the office or over Zoom with your colleagues, or have a fun-filled breakfast picnic at the park with your friends.

Visit magicbreakfast.com to sign up and get a fundraising pack filled with breakfast and fundraising ideas.

We hope we see lots of people in Bournemouth sign up, host a breakfast, and fundraise for Magic Breakfast.

By taking part in Great Big Breakfast you can help fund fuel for success for children, now and in the future.
