Membership of the Eurovision community has expanded since 1974 when Abba won the song contest
I LOST interest in the Eurovision Song Contest many, many years ago – but I was astonished, indeed bewildered would be a better word, to learn that the countries so far eliminated from this year’s Eurovision included Australia!
I thought that the organisers were stretching the concept more than a little when they included the likes of Israel, Moroccol and Azerbaijan.
But Australia, for God’s sake.
The day cannot be far of when the entire world is invited to take part in a contest that is way, way past it’s sell-by date?
