POLICE have been patrolling a Southampton park to crackdown on knife crime.
Police officers were spotted searching the Daisy Dip in Swaythling.
They were scouring the area looking for knives.
Residents reported seeing around ten officers and a police dog unit.
Commenting on the patrols, a spokesperson for Hampshire Constabulary said: "Officers were carrying out knife sweeps in the Daisy Dip area yesterday (May 17) as part of our proactive policing to tackle serious violence and knife crime."
"No knives or weapons located."
