LOCKDOWN measures will ease further on Monday in the biggest loosening of restrictions this year.
Pubs, restaurants and bars will open for indoor service, hotels will welcome back guests, museums, theatres and cinemas will be allowed to reopen and people will be able to meet indoors in groups of six, or two households.
Here we look at just some of the businesses opening their doors for the first time from Monday.

Bars
The Anvil in Bournemouth's Holdenhurst Road has been closed for six months and will welcome back rock fans from 6pm on Monday. There will be table service for a maximum of six people or two households and the bar will be taking bookings. However, there will be tables available for walk-ins. The bar will be open for its usual operating times of 6pm until 3am or 5am on weekends if it’s busy.
Classic rock bar Zephyr in Christchurch Road will open on Monday from 6pm. The bar will be open from 6pm until late Monday to Wednesday and from 6pm until 5am Thursday to Saturday. Bookings are advised to avoid disappointment and can be made via the bar’s Facebook page.
Bournemouth bars Walkabout and Be At One, which are both managed by the Stonegate Group, will open on Monday and are taking table bookings.
Sports bar, music venue and eatery The Brass Haus in Bournemouth's Westover Road will reopen from May 17 and is taking bookings now.

Revolution Bournemouth, which is part of the national Revolution chain, will reopen on May 17.
Aruba at Pier Approach will be back with a bang on Monday with new brunches, new nights and new menus.

Museums and theatres
Bournemouth’s new and improved Russel-Cotes Art Gallery and Museum is reopening on Tuesday, 18 May. Renovations, redisplays, investment in the collections, grounds and digital improvements have all been completed over the past year to improve the visitor experience and accessibility.

Poole Lighthouse will open both its galleries on Tuesday and the cinema and New Screen on Stage open on Friday, May 21, with the first live performance taking place on May 28 when Circus of Horrors returns. The second season of Lighthouse: OUTSIDE opens on May 29 in the Amphitheatre to the side of the building.

After being closed for a major refurbishment, then closed again due to the pandemic, the Museum of East Dorset in Wimborne is opening its doors once more on May 17. Online booking is recommended to guarantee entry whilst social distancing measures are in place.
Casinos and bingo halls
Bournemouth’s Genting casino in Yelverton Road, will be re-opening for business on May 17. The casino will be operating with a limited capacity to ensure social distancing is maintained throughout. Masks will also be required upon entry, multiple hand sanitizer stations will be located across the venue, screens will be in place between slot machines and e-tables and regular deep cleaning will be taking place. Food and drink will be available for table service.
Buzz bingo at Tower Park in Poole will offer free hot drinks and sausage or bacon rolls to customers when it reopens on May 17. The breakfast giveaway takes place between 10am and 11am to celebrate changes in lockdown restrictions.

Cinemas
Bournemouth's Odeon cinema in the BH2 Complex will reopen on Monday. Film fans will be able to see the likes of Peter Rabbit 2, Nomadland and Godzilla Vs Kong.

Bowling
Hollywood Bowl in Poole Road, Branksome, will reopen on Monday for the first time in more than four months. Safety measures include the installation of unique lane seating dividers which allow guests to enjoy their own space, as well as newly designed, distinctive balls which are designated to each lane. Other measures include cleaning all balls, touch screens and seating after each customer group, appropriate spacing between amusement machines and dining seating, with social distancing measures and signage throughout each venue. Guests can also wear their own shoes to bowl in. Guests are encouraged to make bookings ahead of their visit.
