LET US start with the song 'I do like to live beside the seaside - I do like to live beside the sea.'

Glimpses of the sea can be sparse, but not far away at the present time.

Given the chance, developers will 'ring' the whole of Poole Harbour with high rise luxury apartments for those who can sell their London housing stock for a relative fortune, and, then easily afford local speculator prices to purchase des-res apartments in the Poole area.

It is only a matter of time before those living 'in-land' will be totally unaware of the sea presence - like living in a 'Walled City'.

Surely, this is a steady invasion by those who are the most detested class of new residents.

They have nothing to offer, other than huge profits for the speculators, who invariably originate from outside the county -with the exception of a few Bournemouth individuals.

How about a 'bounty charge' of 50% of the asking price, to fund affordable housing for the indigenous young families, who will no doubt man the services the incommers will need.
