A 20-YEAR-OLD woman from Southampton has been arrested on suspicion of theft and drug dealing charges.

Police were called to an address in Royal Crescent Road following reports of a disturbance.

Patrol cars and an ambulance were spotted in the road near Ocean Village on Saturday morning.

A woman from the city was later arrested on suspicion of theft and possession with intent to supply a controlled class A drug.

A police spokesperson said: "We were called to a disturbance at an address in Royal Crescent Road just after 11am. Officers have attended the property.

"A 20-year-old woman from Southampton was arrested on suspicion of theft and possession with intent to supply a controlled drug of class A. She remains in custody at this time.

"An ambulance crew initially attended, as there was a report that someone may have suffered injuries at the address.

"However, when officers arrived, they were able to establish that no one had been hurt."

The woman remains in police custody at this time.
