TWO MEN from Bournemouth and Poole have been arrested after jewellery and foreign currency were stolen from a house in Christchurch.

At around 5.05pm on Monday May 3, it is reported that a burglary occurred at an address on Avenue Road. 

An item of jewellery was reportedly stolen, as well as some Turkish Lira.

A 42-year-old man from Bournemouth and a 38-year-old man from Poole have been arrested on suspicion of burglary. They have been released under investigation while enquiries continue.

Officers are appealing for witnesses or anyone with information to come forward.

Detective Sergeant Karen Penn, of the Priority Crime Team, said: “We have been carrying out a number of enquiries, including house-to-house visits and CCTV checks in the area.

“I am appealing to anyone who may have seen or heard anything on Avenue Road around the relevant time to please get in touch."
