  • - Crofts, 30 and of Lytchett Drive, Broadstone, pleaded guilty to a charge of murder at a hearing last month at the same court.
  • - Police were called to Ms Deakin’s home in Leigh Street, Burslem, on November 6 last year.
  • - Ms Deakin, 29 and a mum-of-one, died in hospital a short time later.
