EIGHT fire crews were sent to Bournemouth Square this morning after a smell of smoke was noticed near the Debenhams store.
Dorset and Wiltshire Fire and Rescue sent two crews each from Christchurch, Westbourne and Poole along with others from Springbourne and Redhill park at 8.09am.
A DWFRS spokesman said: "Fortunately, it was just a small fire to the rear of the building, which was extinguished using one hose reel jet, and our stop came at 8.43am."
