BURGLARS stole jewellery and a purse from a West Parley property while the occupants were at home during the night.

Now police have appealed for information about the offence, which took place in Ellesfield Drive.

Raiders got into a property between 11pm on Friday April 23 and 3am the following morning.

Police Constable Amy Bowkis, of East Dorset police, said: "We are carrying out an investigation into this burglary and have conducted a number of enquiries.

"I am appealing to anyone who witnessed any suspicious activity in the area or who has any further information to please contact us.

"I would also ask that residents in the vicinity check their home CCTV footage for the night in question to see if they have captured anything that might assist our enquiries.

"Finally, I would like to take this opportunity to urge residents to remain vigilant, report any suspicious behaviour and ensure their homes are properly secured at night."
