I HAVE been a customer of what was originally M & P Dairies for 45 years, and though I am connected, I do not bank online.

We’ve already had this issue with some car parking sites, and more recently the census was made more difficult to do if you are not on line – and up to a THIRD of people out there are NOT online, especially those who need the delivery service most.

What possible justification do Milk and More have for no longer accepting Direct Debit?

This must surely be as simple, or maybe even simpler, than accepting payments online.

There does seem to be growing discrimination against those who either are not connected, unable to be so, or prefer not to do day to day business online.

Unfortunately there are many, mostly younger people, who are insensitive to the issues of those who haven’t grown up glued to a mobile device.

This is a form of discrimination and should not be acceptable.

It’s a pity our local MPs don’t seem to care about these issues and at least seek a basic protection, as I believe they were elected on a platform of choice.

I join the original letter writer in hoping that a local company will come to the rescue and support what has to be a useful (and plastic reducing) service.

If they did we would then have gone full circle back to a local company. If not, it’s another nail in the coffin of choice.
