LUXURY boatbuilder Sunseeker International has been officially unveiling the first of five new models.

The Poole company is holding virtual “global premieres” for the new models it launched earlier this year.

It held livestream events on YouTube and Facebook for the Manhattan 55 and Predator 55 EVO, with more models to be presented over the coming weeks.

Those attending are able to “meet” the team responsible for the boats, get a glimpse of how they are built and see footage of interior options.

Sean Robertson, sales director at Sunseeker International, said: “This is a model launch like no other, so it deserves a special global premiere. Embracing the move to digital, we are excited to present our exceptional new yachts to the world using Facebook and YouTube Premiere.”

The Manhattan 55 has been developed from the existing Manhattan range to offer an array of spaces for entertaining, with a glass cockpit and gallery window that can be lowered electronically. It features three large cabins, a bathing platform aft and a foredeck entertainment area.

It has a typical selling price of £1.29million plus VAT.

Sunseeker says the Predator 55 EVO will be a “distinctive craft in any marina” and that “her remarkable performance will outshine any other yacht in her size category”. It will do more than 32 knots and features Sunseeker’s Hydro-Pack, which uses a fly-by-wire system and independent rudders for agility. It typically costs £1.15m plus VAT.

Sunseeker International chief executive Andrea Frabetti said last year: “Each of these innovative yachts exudes luxury and panache whilst benefitting from the very latest technology, engineering and design excellence. We have pushed the boundaries to deliver novel solutions, innovating at every opportunity.

“These new models are imbued with Sunseeker style and passion, poured lovingly into every yacht from conception to build. We are incredibly proud of all of them and believe, given their incredible designs, they will yet again define their respective segments.”

The new models are the first to come to market since Sunseeker International announced a £38m investment in order to accelerate its new product development between 2020 and 2023.

Sunseeker employs around 2,000 people in Dorset and produces around 150 boats a year, 95 per cent of which are exported.
