Swan-derful - what you find on a busy Weymouth road first thing in the morning.
This unusual hold-up happened just before 7.30am today on the Westham Road bridge - a Swan, in its own time, crossing the road.
Dorset Local Democracy Service reporter Trevor Bevins captured the scene on his dash-cam as other drivers, in a van and skip lorry, both pulled over, blocking both lanes and slowing other traffic to protect the bird.
"I wondered what was happening at first - there didn't seem to be anything causing a hold-up and the road ahead was clear...and then the swan hove into view between the two vehicles ahead of me who were trying to shield it from harm.
"It was taking its time and looked a little dazed, but made it to the pavement," said Trevor.
