COASTGUARDS were called to reports of a casualty in the sea off Bournemouth beach in the early hours of yesterday morning.
A crew from Southbourne went to the scene just after 2am after being alerted by the national maritime operations centre.

They located the casualty in the Alum Chine area and provided care until paramedics arrived.
The person was left in the care of the ambulance crew and coastguards stood down and returned to station.
