THOUSANDS of people flocked to bars, cafes and restaurants as the first weekend with reduced lockdown restrictions got under way.
Glorious weather meant people could enjoy outside space at hospitality venues.
And many took advantage of the sunshine to grab a bite to eat or a drink and watch the world go by.
Bournemouth town centre was busy with signs on approach roads warning that some car parks were full.

Families were enjoying meals, ice creams and drinks at venues across the town.
Beach-side eateries were particularly popular as people made the most of getting out.
There was a visible police presence in the town, mainly centred around The Square where a Kill the Bill protest was taking place.
Security guards were also patrolling to ensure people were adhering to social distancing guidelines.
