A SECTION of a major Dorset road was closed for several hours following a crash involving two vehicles.
Just before 7.30am this morning, police were called to a crash on the A35 near to Bere Regis involving two vehicles.
The road was closed between the Bere Regis roundabout and Woodbury Cross.
A spokesman for Dorset Police said: "We were called at 7.26am to a report of a two vehicle collision on the A35 near to Bere Regis.
"Officers are currently on the scene, along with the fire and ambulance services.
"The road is closed between the Bere Regis roundabout and Woodbury Cross to allow emergency services to deal with the incident."
A Mitsubishi and a Land Rover had to be recovered from the scene.
It is not known if anyone was injured.
The road reopened at around 4pm.
