POLICE have warned residents to stay vigilant after receiving reports of rogue traders in the Hengistbury area.
The traders would offer to clean driveways but then overcharge for poor and incomplete work.
A spokesperson for Bournemouth Police said: “We have been made aware of possible rogue traders operating in the Hengistbury area.
“A van with males offering to clean driveways was seen, and they were said to be persistent in their manner.
“Rogue traders knock on doors, offer a service, but overcharge you for poor, unnecessary, or incomplete work.
“The elderly and vulnerable are particularly at risk of being targeted. Please remain vigilant where elderly neighbours and relatives are concerned.”
