ROBERT NEWTON, aged 31 and of Norwich Avenue West, Bournemouth, admits entering an address in Bournemouth on April 8 thereby breaching a restraining order. Community order made, whereby the defendant must complete 20 days of rehabilitation activity requirement. Fined £50. To pay £85 costs. Also admits assaulting PC Byrne, an emergency worker acting in the exercise of his functions as such a worker in Bournemouth on April 11. Community order made. To pay £50 compensation. Also admits conviction of an offence while a community order made on August 24, 2020, for the offences of criminal damage and malicious communications was in force. New community order made.

DARRYL JAMES, aged 69 and of Bear Cross Avenue, Bournemouth, admits assaulting a man by beating him in Bournemouth on January 15. Fined £400. To pay £150 compensation, £40 surcharge and £85 costs.

ROBERT ANTHONY VAUGHAN TURNER, aged 50 and of Victoria Avenue, Bournemouth, admits assaulting a woman thereby occasioning her actual bodily harm in Bournemouth on November 13, 2020. Community order made, whereby the defendant must complete 10 days of rehabilitation activity requirement and carry out 80 hours of unpaid work. Restraining order made, which lasts until April 11, 2023. To pay £300 compensation, £95 surcharge and £85 costs.

EAST DORSET

PAUL JAMES THORNLEY, aged 49 and of Bridleways, Verwood, found guilty of assaulting a woman by beating her in Verwood on March 30, 2019. Community order made, whereby the defendant must follow an overnight curfew for three months and complete up to 20 days of rehabilitation activity requirement. Restraining order made, which lasts until April 11, 2023. To pay £250 compensation, £95 surcharge and £260 costs. Also found guilty of pursuing a course of conduct which amounted to the stalking of a woman in Verwood between March 29, 2019, and May 10, 2019, and which he knew or ought to have known amounted to the harassment of her. Community order made.

POOLE

LUCY KATE HARRIS, aged 38 and of no fixed address, admits stealing a Samsung Galaxy A71 and £5 belonging to a man in Hamilton Road on November 20. Discharged conditionally for one year. To pay £400 compensation. Also admits failing to surrender to custody at Poole Magistrates’ Court on March 18, having been released on bail in criminal proceedings on February 10. Discharged conditionally for one year.

JAMES PAUL LARBY, aged 38 and of Buccleuch Road, Poole, admits sending by means of a public electronic communications network a message that was grossly offensive or of an indecent, obscene or menacing character in Poole on September 29, 2020. Committed to prison for six weeks, suspended for 12 months. Restraining order made, which lasts until April 11, 2022. To pay £300 compensation and £85 costs.

MARK LUTON, aged 42 and of Library Road, Poole, admits having contact with a woman and being found with her in Poole on April 9 in breach of a restraining order imposed on October 13, 2020. Community order made, whereby the defendant must follow an electronic monitoring of whereabouts requirement for three months and complete 20 days of rehabilitation activity requirement. To pay £95 surcharge and £85 costs.

MARK SOUTHERN, aged 58, of Haven Road, Poole, admits pursuing a course of conduct which amounted to the harassment of a woman in Poole between August 6, 2020, and August 9, 2020, and which he knew or ought to have known amounted to the harassment of her, in that he attended her home address uninvited on three separate occasions. Community order made, whereby the defendant must complete 10 days of rehabilitation requirement and carry out 120 hours of unpaid work. Restraining order made, which lasts until April 11, 2023. To pay £1,000 compensation and £620 costs.
