MY grateful congratulations to the bin collectors for their work on Monday April 5.

Although at the back of my mind I knew the bins needed to be put out, I was distracted by lengthy Easter Sunday Zoom calls with family.

Early on Monday morning when I heard the large bin lorry, my heart sank.

I'd totally forgotten to put out the bins.

I need not have worried. I rushed to the window to see the cheerful handling of the bins. T

he men dashed back and forth, taking the bins from our house (five bins in all), emptying them and hurrying them back to the wall.

This was above and beyond the line of duty and I applaud the work ethic and the thoughtfulness of the bin collectors.
