NO new coronavirus cases were confirmed in Dorset over the last 24 hours, latest figures show.

In the 24 hours leading up to 4pm on Sunday, no cases were confirmed in the BCP Council area, keeping the total at 25,158 since the start of the pandemic.

In the seven days leading up to April 6, the latest rolling seven-day period, 45 cases were confirmed, giving a rolling infection rate of 11.4 per 100,000 people.

The Dorset Council area also didn’t record a new case, keeping the total at 11,755.

The rolling infection rate was 13.5 per 100,000 with 51 cases confirmed in a week.

Elsewhere, no cases were confirmed in the New Forest, keeping the total at 6,114.

The rolling infection rate was 15 per 100,000 after 27 cases were confirmed in the week before April 6.
