THERE is disruption at Wool railway station after a barrier got stuck in the down position.
Network Rail said that the barrier became stuck after a train passed at around 6.30am on Friday morning.
A spokesperson said: "We’ve been unable to get it to lift since then, and hence we kept both barriers down to protect road users from trains – and vice versa.
"We’re really sorry for the traffic disruption this is causing in the area and we have a team of technicians and a mobile operations manager on site trying to get this working again."
Bus company First Wessex said its 7.48am X54 service was affected as a result of the incident.
Posting on Twitter just after 9.30am on Friday morning, First Wessex said: “The bus will run to Poole via the A352, Broadmayne, onto the A35, then direct to Poole.
“This journey will not serve East Stoke, Wareham, Lytchett Minster, Upton and Hamworthy on the outbound journey.
“We are sorry for any inconvenience caused.”
