THE front windscreen of a police van was smashed while officers were dealing with a reported Covid breach in Bournemouth.
An investigation has been launched by Dorset Police in relation to the criminal damage incident, which took place in the early hours.
At around 3am on Saturday, March 13, officers were called to reports of the coronavirus regulations breach at an address in Oxford Road.
They parked a marked police Ford Transit van at the location and returned to the vehicle approximately 30 to 40 minutes later to discover the front windscreen had been smashed.
An image of a man police would like to speak with has now been issued.
PC Samuel Perry, of Bournemouth police, said: “As part of my investigation I have obtained a CCTV image of a man I am keen to identify.
“I would ask anyone who recognises this man, or the clothing he is wearing, to please contact Dorset Police.”
