The appalling scale of litter depicted in photos from Dorset locations consists not solely in 'rubbish' but in recyclable materials including valuable aluminium cans.
This material is wasted by incineration or landfill.
Sadly, no attempt at recovery and separation is made by contracting or voluntary litter pickers.
What hope can there be of our adapting to the personal/family changes required for net-zero economy?
