Bank Holiday weekend and we have just been taken in by a Royal Mail scam sent on our mobile.

The heading was the correct red Royal Mail signage with correct gold coloured crown above and as we were expecting a delivery the request for £2.99 did not seem out of context.

However closer reading, after we had filled in appropriate boxes, showed an suspect IP address and the phone number is a mail box that is full when we tried to phone it.

We paid the money by credit card but when we realised our error contacted the credit company immediately and closed the account.

It might be worth a mention.
