A crew from Poole Fire Station were sent to deal with fire which broke out among some undergrowth on Diana Way, near the Tops Day Nursery, in Corfe Mullen on Sunday April 4.

Although the fire was put out by residents in the area, fire service personnel remained on site to ensure the fire was properly doused before residing back to the station.

A spokesman from Dorset and Wiltshire Fire and Rescue said: “At 6.02pm, fire crews from Poole were mobilised to a small fire in the open involving shrubbery.

“The fire was extinguished by resident, but crews investigated and made sure it was fully extinguished and safe before returning home to the station.”
