CROWDS of youths have flocked to Milford sea front leaving broken glass and rubbish at the scene.

Police were called to the Milford sea front last night to reports of a large number of young people gathering by the beach huts.

On arrival they found broken glass and rubbish.

People are now being warned of shards of glass that have not yet been cleaned up.

A post on the Lymington and New Milton Cops Facebook page said: "We hope you are enjoying your bank holiday weekend.

"We wanted to make you all aware that following an incident last night involving a large number of young people along Milford sea front, down by the beach huts a lot of broken glass and rubbish was left. Whilst some efforts were made to clear up after themselves when police attended, we believe that a lot of glass may still be present.

"The council have been also made aware of this.

"Just be vigilant of this and be careful over this weekend if you intend on heading down there to enjoy the sunshine.

"PCSO Gemma."
