MUDEFORD Ferry has announced that it has restarted its service for the first time this year.

The ferry, which runs between Mudeford Quay and Mudeford Sandbank, resumed on Thursday April 1 at 10am to 4pm after being out of action since December 30.

The vessel will resume its full timetable, meaning it will operate from 7am to 11.10pm daily.

In conjunction with this, due to the high demand, Mudeford Ferry's captain Paul Derham has decided to extend the discounts on bulk purchase passes.

The ferry company will also be restarting its trips to see the anchored cruise ships off the Bournemouth coast.

In an announcement on their website, Mudeford Ferry said: “Blast to Poole Bay to see the Massive Cruise Ships that are at anchor of the Royal Caribbean line.

“We will have an all-round unobstructed view of these giants and are allowed to pass 50 meters away.

“Our Vessel is the fast RIB ‘Sensation’ and we are limited to 10 persons. There will be commentary and interesting personnel accounts of an actual sea rescue.”

Cruises depart from Mudeford Quay and last about an hour and 45 minutes. These cruises are expected to be popular so customers are advised to register their interest now by calling 07968 33 44 41

Staff on the ferry have advised all passengers to wear face coverings when travelling aboard the vessel.
