A MAN who defrauded two women out of more than £2,400 for building and gardening services has been jailed.

Karl James Latham-Harrold admitted two counts of fraud by false representation when he appeared before magistrates in Poole on March 18.

This related to his actions at an address in Durdells Gardens, Bournemouth, between April 16 and July 14 last year.

The court heard that the 35-year-old made the false representation in relation to providing the services to two women, with one being defrauded out of £2,005 and the other £405.

Magistrates committed the defendant, whose address was given as Wimborne Road, Bournemouth, to prison for 20 weeks.

He was also ordered to pay a total of £2,410 compensation.
