AN EXPLODED battery caused a fire in a Poole home in the early hours of this morning.
Three crews from Poole fire station were called to Chetnole Close in Canford Heath at 2.20am.

A spokesman for Dorset and Wiltshire Fire and Rescue said the fire took place in a ground floor living room.
Two sets of breathing apparatus and one hose reel jet were used to put it out.
