Letter to the Editor: Passing the buck on fly-tipping
REFERENCE fly-tipping, I hold central government responsible as they are penalising local authorities for sending waste to landfill etc.
Councils in turn penalise residents by discouraging them from using the council waste centres, charging residents and other restrictions is totally wrong.
Encourage waste to the official sites. Waste has to be dealt with and the best place is local authority sites, cheaper in the long run, and it keeps waste all in the same area.
