A CHRISTCHURCH resident was woken by a loud bang and discovered a glass panel in the door and two windows had been smashed.

Police are investigating and appealing for witnesses to come forward following the incident in Campbell Road at about 1.20am on Monday March 15.

The victim also discovered that a window in their vehicle had been smashed.

Officers attended and carried out a search of the area, assisted by the dog section, but nobody was located.

Police Constable Jim Perks, of Christchurch police, said: “We are carrying out a number of enquiries into this incident to identify who was responsible, including house-to-house visits in the area.

“I am appealing to anyone who saw or heard any suspicious activity in the area around the relevant time to please get in touch.

“I would also ask residents to check their home CCTV systems for any relevant footage to assist my investigation.”
