I AM writing to object to the Bournemouth to Ferndown cycle route, which once again has been re –introduced.
I am concerned about the closure of Leven Avenue to through traffic. I do not believe time has made it any more palatable since my last letter, which I believe was early September 2020, when I supported my then former college Stephen Chappel former councillor for Talbot and Branksome Woods.
This proposal will cause severe congestion and pollution on the approach to the traffic light controlled junction with Glenferness Avenue.
I would say who ever thought this was a good idea, does not appreciate the build up of traffic at key times in the working day, this is an ill-thought-out idea.
It has not improved with time and in turn will not help the environment with the stop go stop go of traffic.
I feel it is a waste of tax payers money it was not well received by local people last time.
So please don’t imaging time will improve matters.
