IS THERE anything quite as romantic as pulling up to a drive-in cinema?

Outdoor and drive-in cinema have gone through a renaissance over the last few years becoming a staple activity for family and friends alike.

With the global pandemic raging on and indoor cinemas being closed as a result, outdoor and drive-in cinema events are a fantastic way to enjoy going to the pictures.

There's something magical about an open-air cinema not to mention the fact that you can snuggle up in blankets, chat if you want to and it's easy to keep socially distanced.

Flix is back in Bournemouth after selling-out over Christmas

This incredibly popular covid-secure event is back in Bournemouth throughout April after a sell-out ring of shows during Christmas.

Following the latest government announcement, the events company is all-set to welcome visitors back to the big screen this Easter.

Back by popular demand, the drive-in experience will combine some of this year’s brand new, hotly anticipated releases such as Godzilla vs. Kong, Tom & Jerry and The Little Things - it is one of the select few places chosen in the UK to exclusively show these.

You’ll also be able to dress up and sing to your heart’s content to some special sing-along, feel-good flicks including Hairspray, Kinky Boots and The Greatest Showman; some of which will feature live theatrical and circus performers, with on-screen lyrics.

Previously held at Adventure Wonderland, Flix is now being held on Bournemouth Airport's events field.

Tickets cost £34.08 per car.

"Just like with the drive-in shows, we’ve worked very hard to ensure that these events are safe and lots of fun for all the family.

"We’ve got some amazing films to show in some truly incredible spaces, and we’re excited to offer guests two things they may have desperately missed in recent months: the cinema and the great outdoors."
