A MACHETE and lock knife were seized from a person arrested after a fight in Bournemouth's Kings Park.
Police were called to the park last night after reports that two males had been seen in possession of weapons.
Armed police, the force dog unit and neighbourhood officers attended to contain and search the area.
Several people were stopped and searched in the local area with a person found in possession of the weapons stopped in the Pokesdown Hill area.
The person was was arrested and is now helping police with their inquiries.
A spokesman for Bournemouth Police said: "This sort of weapon is designed for one thing and that is to inflict serious, deadly harm on others. We will continue to target those carrying these weapons and make our streets safer.
