TWO coastguard teams were called after receiving a report of an unattended climbing rope hanging over a cliff in the Lulworth area.
Lulworth Coastguard Rescue Team, with help from Kimmeridge Coastguard, attended the scene after receiving the report on Saturday, March 6.
After a cliff rescue setup was installed, a rope rescue technician was sent down to take a look.
Reporting back that the rope was connected to an anchor point half way down under an overhang with no one in distress, both teams recovered the rope tech and re-stowed the equipment.
All teams reported their findings to the operations room and returned to station.
