I am dismayed by the proposal to build 400 houses on the greenbelt in Lytchett Matravers.
These will destroy the biodiversity, green space and wildlife as well as contribute to climate change.
There are deer, hedgehogs barn owls multiple birds as well as bats and newts. Its a travesty to destroy the habitat.
There is an area of rough scrub behind Wareham Road essential for the wildlife .
The area behind the school had been designated as green space for the community.
It is a flat area where sports fields and dog walks are possible with widespread views of the Pubecks .
It can also be used by the school.
The population had gone done by 1.5k since Brexit and vast areas of town centres are used.
Use Brownfield sites not greenbelt.
