THE dates for the next Swanage Blues Festival have been tentatively announced, with the proviso that social distancing will no longer be in force.
Festival organiser Steve Darrington has confirmed the dates of the four-day event as September 30 until October 3.
However, he said: "The dates are in the diary, artists are keen, punters are keen but venues need to see how things develop.
"Swanage Blues Festival isn't viable if there's social distancing involved.
"I'm asking artists to hold off and await announcements.
"If you're intent on booking accommodation, make sure you can get your money back if necessary.
"Keep safe and well."
Like most public events, the Swanage Blues Festival was cancelled last year.
It normally takes place in March and October, but this year's March event is also not going ahead because of the pandemic.
The event usually attracts thousands of blues fans to Swanage and the surrounding area.
Last year's cancelled October festival would have boasted 44 bands playing 70 gigs across 18 indoor venues.
