On 2nd March you ran an article on Dorset Council's Climate and Ecological Emergency Strategy.

This politically correct drivel contained the suggestion to convert all council building heating systems to 'hydrogen-ready hybrid heat pumps'.

There is no such beast.

Heat pumps run on electricity.

The efficiency decreases rapidly as outside temperature falls.

It is noteworthy that there is no mention of reducing traffic.

Tony Blair tried to make motorists energy-use conscious by increasing fuel tax.

The furious reaction and his cowardly retreat have stayed in the political consciousness.
