A MAN is due to appear in court today following an alleged attack on a woman in Bournemouth.
The 21-year-old is charged with assault occasioning actual bodily harm, possessing a knife or bladed article in a public place and criminal damage following an incident on Sunday February 28.
He is due to appear before Poole magistrates.
It is alleged that a man approached a woman in Droxford Road, Pokesdown, Bournemouth between 7.30pm and 8pm.
The man allegedly threatened the woman before hitting her over the head, causing her to fall to the floor.

He is also said to have kicked her multiple times and damaged her mobile phone.
The woman, aged in her 20s and from Bournemouth, suffered bruising to her forehead and eye as well as injuries to her hand and leg.
Detectives are continuing to investigate the matter and are appealing for any witnesses or anyone who may have captured anything relevant on dashcam to come forward.
