PLAIN-CLOTHES police have been targeting street dealers of Class A drugs in Poole town centre.

Operation Servo disrupted dealers and now officers have pledged to continue to target anti-social behaviour linked to drugs supply.

A spokesman for Poole Police said: "Police plain clothed operations are slightly different to undercover operations in that when you get close to us, you would be able see that we are police officers. This is a deliberate part of the tactic in terms of plain clothed operations.

"An amount of disruption was undertaken with some positive results. We are looking forward to continuing similar operations across Poole to target ASB linked to drug supply.

"A massive thank you to those that have been submitting intelligence to us. Your information is of value and enables us to target our resources."

Anyone with information about drug dealing is asked to call police on 101 or the free and anonymous Criemstoppers line on 0800 555 111.
