POLICE in Christchurch have responded to reports of criminal damaged to a car parked outside of Burton village.

Officers from Christchurch Police were called to Preston Lane after a car was found to have been broken into and the lock damaged.

The force are appealing for anyone with any information about the incident, which is thought to have taken place since 9pm on Wednesday February 24, to come forward.

A police spokesman said: “We have received a report of criminal damage to a vehicle in Christchurch.

“Details are that the car window was smashed, and the lock was broken. The car was parked on Preston Lane, Burton.

“This is believed to have occurred after 9pm on the February 24. Please report any suspicious incidents to 101.”
