A VAN, pulled over for speeding in north Dorset, was so dirty that officers also reported the driver for having an unreadable numberplate.
The Mercedes Vito van was pulled over for travelling at 51mph along a stretch of road where a 30mph limit was in place.
A spokesman for Dorset Police No Excuse said the vehicle was pulled over near Blandford on Tuesday, February 23.
Its number plate was obscured by dirt.
Officers also pulled over a VW Caddy van in Poole for not displaying a front registration plate.
The rear plate did not confirm either.
The spokesman said: "Make sure you have a number plate – and one that can be read too."
