THE Daily Echo recently reported that the Lytchett Minster Carnival will not be going ahead this year due to the coronavirus pandemic.

To help ease the disappointment this brings, we take a look at pictures of the event from the turn of the millennium.

The event, which usually takes place in July each year, ordinarily consist of a parade which snakes its way from Factory Road to the recreation ground on Oakley Gardens.

Activities after the procession include a fayre ground, food and drink stalls, live music, performances and trade and charity stalls.
