DURING our daily exercise walk (when I don't carry a handbag) my husband and I decided we fancied liver and bacon for our evening meal.
Rather than go to one of our supermarkets we thought we would support our local butcher to buy the liver.
The cost was only about £2.40 so as I was opening my purse for the cash, in a very harsh voice the lady behind the counter stated: "We don't take cash."
Luckily my husband was waiting outside and he had his cards with him.
What a way to treat customers when the small shops are crying out for people to support them.
I don't feel inclined to use that shop again.
