THREE people arrested after a man was left fighting for his life outside a block of flats in Boscombe will face no further police action.

Dorset Police were called to the block in Southcote Road just before 9.30am on Saturday, December 19, last year.

A man, aged in his 40s, was taken to hospital with serious head injuries, described at that time as life-threatening.

He has since left the hospital.

Following initial investigations, detectives arrested a 40-year-old woman on suspicion of inflicting grievous bodily harm with intent.

Dorset Police have now confirmed the woman has been released without charge.

Two Bournemouth men, aged 35 and 44, were also arrested on suspicion of inflicting grievous bodily harm with intent.

Both of these men have now been released from the investigation and will face no further police action.

A third man – aged 57 and from Bournemouth – also attended for a voluntary police interview in connection with the incident and officers have confirmed he will also face no further police action.

A Dorset Police spokesman said: "Detectives are not looking for anyone else in connection with the incident."
