A FURTHER two people died with coronavirus in Dorset hospitals, latest figures have confirmed.

Data released by NHS England revealed a fatality at University Hospitals Dorset on February 12, meaning a total of 608 people have died at the trust with the virus since the start of the pandemic.

One person also died at the Dorset County Hospital on February 12, taking the hospitals total to 99.

Since the start of the pandemic, 774 people have died in the county’s hospitals with the virus.

As well as at the 608 at UHD and 99 at the Dorset County Hospital, 67 people have died at the Dorset Healthcare Trust.

Across England, a further 436 people died in hospital with the virus, taking the total to 78,588.

Patients were aged between 21 and 100 years old and all but ten had underlying health conditions.

The deaths date back to January 4 and 20 were recorded in the south west.
