A RESOLUTION has been applied by BCP Council to regulate sex establishments throughout the whole conurbation.
The council passed the resolution earlier this year and it will come into force in April.
A public notice from the council said: “On January 5, BCP Council passed a resolution specifying that Schedule 3 of the Local Government Act 1982 as amended by section 27 of the Policing and Crime Act 2009 shall apply to their area and that resolution shall come into force on April 1.
“This resolution will allow BCP Council to regulate sexual entertainment venues as sex establishments throughout their whole area and to publish a Sex Establishment Policy to assist in the determination of such applications.
“The policy will include details of local characteristics which will be considered when determining any application for a sex establishment within the BCP area.”
