THE Met Office has issued a snow warning for Dorset as the cold spell continues.
The yellow alert came into force at 10.30am today, Wednesday, February 10 and is expected to last until 11am on Thursday, February 11.
This snow warning has only been issued for West Dorset.
The Met Office says icy patches and wintry showers may cause some travel disruption.
Met Office Chief Meteorologist, Dan Suri, said: "Weather for the rest of this week will continue to be very cold with daytime temperatures only reaching a degree or so above freezing at best for many and strong easterly winds continuing to make it feel even colder."
Here's what the Met Office says you can expect:
- Some roads and railways likely to be affected with longer journey times by road, bus and train services.
- Some injuries from slips and falls on icy surfaces.
- Probably some icy patches on some untreated roads, pavements and cycle path

In coastal areas, including Dorset, showers are more likely to fall as a mixture of rain, sleet and snow and any accumulations of snow will be much smaller and patchier in nature.
Temperatures are expected to feel like -7C in the early hours of tomorrow morning.
