THE letters written by the constant Mr Robert Readman appear to some readers to be a source of irritation.

For a man of advancing years, surely having the clarity of mind to have strong opinions and to be able to put them in writing is to be applauded, even though I suspect Mr Readman’s letters are sometimes an enticement to cause us to react!

While I am not about to start a Robert Readman Appreciation Society, surely the irritation that it causes some readers is outweighed by the entertainment value.

So keep them coming Mr Readman and keep printing them Echo.
