THE freehold for three commercial sites across BCP will go under the hammer in separate lots today – including an established sports and social club.
London-based Allsop is hosting an online auction which features the East Christchurch Sports and Social Club site, the building currently occupied by Santander in Winton and a Poole high street premises comprising of an Italian restaurant and two flats.
East Christchurch Sports and Social Club in Grange Road is currently leased to BAE Systems Limited on a peppercorn rent reserved and this runs until 2031.
The overall site covers around nine-and-a-half acres, with hard-standing tennis courts, football and rugby pitches. It also features a club house with a bar, kitchen changing rooms and toilets.
Allsop has listed the site at a guide price of £100,000. The property consultancy firm said the listing has attracted “wide interest locally”.
Meanwhile, the Wimborne Road, Bournemouth, premises available for bidders is currently let in its entirety to Santander and it is one of the few banks to remain open along Winton high street stretch.
Auctioneers said the site has redevelopment potential, with the current lease expiring in December 2025. At present it is let at £22,000 per year.
The listing has a guide price of £350,000 plus.
In Poole, a freehold is on offer for a Grade II listed site, which currently operates as a restaurant and two flats.
The building, which is home to Italian eatery Ginali’s, includes a front courtyard area to outside seating for the restaurant and a rear car parking space.
Allsop said a new 10-year lease is currently running with Ginali’s and, along with the residential elements, produces a total rent of £34,740.
The lot has a guide price of £420,000 and over.

“Following a strong trading year, when we sold over £430m worth of assets, we can see that buyers are looking to invest for the long-term and are feeling optimistic about the vaccine roll-out; the light is finally showing at the end of the tunnel.”
